I look forward to meeting you.  My work as pastor at Simpson Church is guided by 1 John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.

I understand God's loving grace to be ever flowing and available to all, even before we know God is there.  We are all of sacred worth to God. Consequently, we as God's people are not called to judge one another, but rather to love and serve one another.

I was born and raised in Indianapolis and went to IUPUI and Purdue. For 25 plus years I worked in the computer industry for Silicon Valley firms, traveling all over the world.  I came late to ministry, going to Garrett Seminary in 2003, pastoring a wonderful church in Illinois in 2005, and coming home to Indiana 2007. I have been at Simpson Church since 2010.

My incredible wife Barb is an artist and teacher.  She makes wonderful pottery in her garage studio and teaches algebra, geometry, and calculus at Evansville Central High School.  We have two married kids and two of the most wonderful grandchildren ever -- wanna see the pictures?

In my "spare time" I read, talk around the world on ham radio, shoot IDPA matches, and binge watch Netflix and Tivo.  I also serve as a volunteer chaplain for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division.

I have had the joy of working at the Church Administrator at Simpson Church for the past 6 1/2 years!

I was born and raised here in Evansville on the west side!  I have been married to my wonderful husband Richard for 32 years. We have three grown married children Matthew (30), Emily (28) and Andrew (25). We have been blessed with five beautiful grandchildren Brooklynn (8), Brennon (8), Taylor Mae (6), Mackenzie (5) and Payton (2) with number six to arrive in April 2018.

I am so excited to be a part of the ministry here at Simpson and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us in 2018!

I am so many things to so many people...woman, daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and last but not least a Christian. I am an on the go kind of person and love having a project to work on and another waiting in the wings. I have a genuine love of people and their stories. We all need to be heard, appreciated and loved. My family and my faith are of utmost importance to me.

Having been raised  a preacher's kid I don't know that I imagined growing up and working for the United Methodist Church. Here I am though, blessed to be the Director of Community and Family Ministry at Simpson UMC. Having a job that inspires and amazes me on a daily bases is fantastic! I feel that blessings abound in my life.

I have a wonderful husband named Jonathon and together we are raising two beautiful children, Orren (8) and Dezzi (3). We live a quiet life in the country on our tiny farm with our three dogs, two cats and nine chickens.

Simpson is an amazing church, with amazing people and involved in amazing missions.  I can hardly believe that I'm privileged to be on staff at this church.

I have so many blessings in life. My husband, Brett, inspires me daily to follow my dreams. We are the proud parents of two incredible miracles, Piper Jean (4yo) and Ezekial James (7 months old.) I am the oldest of five children. I have one brother and three sisters; Calaeb (23), Chelsey (22), Hayley Mae (15) and Gracie (9.) My family continues to be my biggest supporters. We have three dogs and five cats. You will always find our home full and our doors open to those who need us.

I have been so blessed in my walk with God. In 2015, the pastor set to marry us had a medical emergency the week before our wedding. This led us to Dennis Adams who married us five days later on August 1st. My husband is a life long member of Simpson, attending since he was a baby with his grandparents. We started attending Simpson regularly as a family after our wedding. Seven months later the youth ministry position became available, and I felt God calling me to do something greater than what I was doing at the time. If this is just a small request in what he is asking of me in spreading his love, I need to take the chance of making this impact in our church; and I could not be happier that I took that chance. Since beginning this position at Simpson, these children have altered my life forever. I could not be more proud to call myself their youth leader!

I lead a group for 3rd to 5th graders called Discipleship League. We are striving to teach our children about the love of God and how that love can impact the lives of those we love and make their lives incredible.

I continue to watch God’s grace work in my life daily and look forward to what he has planned next for us.

"Blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her." Luke 1:45

I’ve been in Evansville since 1987, coming here after high school to attend the University of Evansville.  I grew up in rural central IL, born and raised in a small Methodist church there.

I’ve been attending Simpson since the early 2000’s.  I grew up singing and listening to hymns and Gaither-style music, but took an interest in contemporary Christian music shortly after coming to Simpson and have been hooked on it ever since.  I took up guitar about 12 years ago and have been involved with singing/leading praise music since then.  In addition to leading the praise band at Simpson the past 7 years, I’ve also participated in several Tres Dias and Kairos weekends.  I enjoy all types of music.

I’ve been married to my wife Toni since 1990, and we have two beautiful daughters, Mackenzie and Kaleigh.  I work as a consultant in the credit union industry, focusing on debit and credit card products.  In my free time, I enjoy golfing, bowling and playing pickleball, and I’m an avid, life-long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

I am a lifelong native of Evansville's far west side. I have attended Simpson Church for 20 years, & been part of the music team for ~12 years. In addition to being on staff at Simpson I work part time as a PACU RN. I have been married to my husband, David, for 25 years. We are blessed with 3 children; 2 sons who are in their freshman & senior years of college, & 1 daughter who is a junior in high school. I think being a wife & mom is my greatest accomplishment in life; family brings me such joy!

Anyone who knows me would confirm that I have a passion for music, especially Contemporary Christian music. I feel honored and blessed to have a "job" here at Simpson that I truly love!  It is great to have both traditional & contemporary services, so there is a lot of variety of music to play! I also enjoy singing in the choir & praise band. The camaraderie of the music/worship team makes every Sunday something to look forward to!

A phrase from my favorite song sums up my spiritual journey...May the words I say, & things I do bring a smile to you, God...Let my Lifesong sing to You.

I welcome you to come visit us at Simpson. We would love to be your church "home!"

I have the pleasure of being Simpson's Nursery Coordinator.  I grew up in Newburgh and have always been involved in church throughout my whole life.  From a young age, I started singing in choir and volunteering at church.  In my youth I was always involved in youth group going on mission trips, teaching Sunday school and being a leader.  In college, I was in involved in campus ministries and prayer leader in my sorority.  I have been attending Simpson United Methodist Church for about 3 years.  Andrew, my now husband, started bringing me to the church. After I knew that Simpson felt like a home church for me I desired somewhere to serve.  Then the nursery position became available and that called to be right down my alley of experience.  I have experience working with children in foster care.  My current job is working as a Service Coordinator for First Steps; which involves setting up therapy services for children with developmental delays and disabilities.  I love working with children and seeing them grow, learn and discover life.  Working at Simpson Church is enjoyable and I can't wait to see what is in store in the future for the church.

I little bit more about me....I am newly married to my husband Andrew. In my spare time, I love hiking, doing puzzles, playing board games and hanging out with my Little Sister with the Big Brother Big Sisters Program, Kenzie.  People most know me for my love of Disney, Harry Potter, and UK basketball.
